Your Memories, Our Expertise

Our Company

Scappoose Creek Taxidermy is located in Columbia County just thirty minutes north of Portland, Oregon, within easy reach of some of the best sport fishing and hunting opportunities the state has to offer.

Owner and operator Nate Ricker began Scappoose Creek Taxidermy with a desire to preserve for himself the trophies which he has collected over many years of doing what he loves best: bow hunting elk and deer, and fishing in Oregon’s pristine rivers and lakes. This desire eventually took him to Thompson Falls, Montana, where he trained under master taxidermist Steve Fundum at the Advanced Taxidermy Training Institute (www.taxidermy-schools.net). He opened his own shop in 2010, and currently serves clients by appointment weekdays and Saturdays.

Nate and his wife, Kelley, operate Scappoose Creek Taxidermy from his shop at their home. They have lived in Scappoose since 1997, and have three children: Daniel, Caley, and Lillian. Hunting and fishing with Dad has always been a treat for the whole family. Now Daniel is enjoying working on his own fish mounts, learning taxidermy from his dad.

At Scappoose Creek Taxidermy, every mount is treated with the care and consideration Nate takes when working on his own trophies. This is more than a career for him, it is his passion. Thank you for visiting our website. Please contact us and let us know how we can serve you today.
